Long days lead to longer nights

Wow. I am exhausted. I have not been able to sleep recently. It sucks. Hardcore. I feel fatigued and tired a lot, but I can't ever actually fall asleep. I think I've slept a total of 6 hours in the last several nights. Not fun at all. Especially when I'm trying to make a good impression at my new job. Being tired usually doesn't lead to good impressions. Yikes. So today I tried not to take the medicine that's giving me insomnia, then I was grumpy all day. It's a lose/lose situation.

Anyway, I'm very ready for school to start. Less than 2 weeks until I'm living my dream!

Ugh, all this changing is starting to get to me. It's not that I don't like change, it's just a lot to adjust to in a short amount of time. I love Oklahoma and I love my new job, but I'm not loving not getting to see my favorite people whenever I want. I guess that's the price you pay with growing up.

So, on a more positive note... work is going great! I really think I'm going to love my job. It's been fabulous so far, although I think I'm ready to be done with training. I don't get to officially be on the floor by myself until I pass my test on Saturday, I'm not worried about it at all though. '

Ok, I also made an awesome balsamic vinaigrette dressing for my salad tonight

Simple Balsamic Vinaigrette Dressing Recipe:

1/4 cup Balsamic vinegar

1/8 cup Red Wine vinegar

1 cup olive oil (can sub vegetable oil)

5 drops lemon juice

To taste : parsley, basil, cilantro, ground mustard, thyme, rosemary

Let sit for 30 minutes before using and refrigerate immediately after use.

In the beginning...

So, I'm starting pastry school. I decided I'm going to try to keep track of my thoughts and feelings and experiences on this. Honest effort will be put forth, I swear.
